What Is the FreeStyle Libre 3?

The FreeStyle Libre 3 is the newest generation continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system developed by Abbott. It is a device made for people but seems to work well for our pets. A small sensor is gently placed on your pet’s skin, where it continuously measures glucose levels throughout the day and night. Instead of repeated needle pokes, the system sends real-time glucose readings directly to a smartphone app, allowing us and pet owners to better monitor trends and make more informed insulin adjustments.

Compared to previous models, the Libre 3 offers several exciting improvements:

• Continuous real-time glucose updates every minute
